WINTER VACATION ON TWIN LAKES

Windsong Winter Vacation - March 2018

Experience Twin Lakes in the winter, smoke from a wood stove scents the air and snow covered silence surrounds you.

Fly in a ski equipped plane and land on a frozen lake.  The owner will greet you at the plane and settle you into a comfortable log cabin.

The long hours of sunlight and warming temperatures give you the beauty of winter with the comfort of spring.

Spend your day cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing and wildlife viewing, or you may choose to sit and enjoy the incredible peace and quiet of a winter wilderness.  (Skis and snowshoes not provided)

A short trip across the frozen lake will take you to Dick Proenneke cabin, Dick lived here for over 30 years with only the local wildlife for championship.

The owner will be present in a nearby cabin and available to help you in your enjoyment of the Twin Lakes area.

CABIN RESERVATIONS:

Windsong Wilderness Retreat will be open for guests in March, 2018. Log cabin rental is $500 a night plus Lake and Peninsula Borough Sales Tax of $10 per person per day will also be charged. Minimum stay is 4 nights, group size is limited to four guests. You should reserve space as soon as possible to secure the dates most desired. Air transportation can be arranged with a local air charter business. On the flight in and out of Twin Lakes, you will travel through spectacular Lake Clark Pass.

DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS:

We require a deposit of 50% to confirm reservations at the time of booking. The balance is due on February 1. Due to limited availability and a short operating season, stays at Windsong Wilderness Retreat in March are non-refundable, even if weather or other reason beyond the lodge's control delays or prevents you getting to the lodge on the day scheduled. We highly recommend travel insurance.

WEATHER DELAYS:

We will not be responsible for cancellations or delays due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control. To safeguard against unforeseen circumstances, you may want to consider trip cancellation insurance.
